There's a good variety of customization options. You can do favors for other prisoners and raise their opinion of you. You can also craft a wide variety of things such as weapons, escape aiding items, armor and disguises, fake items to fool guards, and more! I wouldn't recommend this to younger kids because of the violence and difficulty. The Escapists 2 is a game with retro looking graphics, easy controls, charming visuals, and more! There's several ways to escape and difficulty varying prisons.
